RHA Collection
HELPING YOU LIVE LIFE MORE BEAUTIFULLYHeadingThe RHA® Collection of dermal fillers includes four distinct injectables that can reduce the appearance of wrinkles and add volume to contour your face. Board-certified dermatologist Dr. Quenby Erickson is considered a top provider of the RHA® Collection in Chicago and frequently recommends these injectables for patients who want to look younger while maintaining a full range of expression.
What Is the RHA® Collection?
The RHA® Collection is a set of four resilient hyaluronic acid (RHA) fillers created by Revance and Teoxane to enhance facial contours while preserving natural facial movements. These fillers are used to add volume in the treatment area, and they work in the same way as natural hyaluronic acid in your body, helping dermal tissue retain moisture, so skin appears plump and youthful.
The RHA® Collection includes effective options for a variety of facial sculpting and rejuvenation concerns:
- RHA Redensity™ is intended to treat dynamic perioral lines, including smoker’s lines and smile lines.
- RHA 2 can be utilized in more superficial dermal layers to create smoother contours, as well as to minimize radial cheek lines.
- RHA 3 can be ideal for oral commissures and marionette lines.
- RHA 4 is injected into deeper dermal layers to mitigate moderate and severe facial creases and wrinkles, including nasolabial folds.
Am I a Good Candidate for Resilient Hyaluronic Acid Fillers?
If you’re experiencing a moderate to severe loss of volume in your face and/or pronounced folds, lines, or wrinkles, you’re likely to be a good candidate for resistant hyaluronic acid fillers. RHA fillers are not recommended for patients who have bleeding disorders, a history of severe allergic reactions, an allergy to lidocaine, or those who are pregnant.
What to Expect During an RHA Filler Procedure
RHA filler treatments usually take about 30 minutes. Dr. Erickson performs this procedure at her esteemed Chicago medical practice, located across the street from the Peninsula and Ritz-Carlton hotels on the Mag Mile.
To begin, the treatment area will be cleansed, and topical anesthesia will be applied. After 20-30 minutes, when the topical anesthesia has taken effect, it will be removed, and the skin will be cleansed with a surgical antiseptic.
Dr. Erickson can then perform the RHA filler injections. Based on the artistic techniques needed to achieve the optimal result, Dr. Erickson will use a fine gauge needle or cannula to inject a precise dose of the appropriate RHA filler at one more or sites in the target area.
What to Expect After an RHA® Filler Treatment
RHA® dermal fillers provide immediate improvements in facial volume and wrinkle reduction. Following an injection session, you may notice some swelling, redness, and bruising in the treatment area. These aftereffects tend to dissipate within a few days. Results are temporary but can last up to 15 months. You can maintain your enhanced look beyond 15 months by scheduling additional RHA filler injections, as directed by Dr. Erickson.
How Much Does an RHA® Filler Treatment Cost?
The price of RHA® Collection treatments differs from one patient to another due to differences in the type of RHA filler used and amount of filler required to achieve noticeable, yet natural-looking results. Dr. Erickson will create a customized RHA filler treatment plan for you during your consultation, and the exact cost of your procedure will be reviewed with you then.
