The P-Shot®
HELPING YOU LIVE LIFE MORE BEAUTIFULLYHeadingDr. Quenby Erickson performs the P-Shot® in Chicago at Erickson Cosmetic Dermatology & Lifestyle Medicine. The P-Shot (aka Priapus Shot) is similar to the O-Shot®, only it is designed just for men to improve sexual function. This minimally invasive treatment involves injecting the penis with the body’s own platelets (PRP) to increase the size of the penis – both length and girth as well as the firmness of an erection. Men will also experience enhanced orgasms from this procedure!
Who is a good candidate for the P-Shot?
The P-Shot (also known as the Priapus Shot) is a pain-free procedure designed to deliver lasting improvements in sexual performance to men. It was created to help men who suffer from the common problem of erectile dysfunction and also Peyronie’s symptoms, but almost anyone can benefit from this treatment. Men who have undergone this procedure have experienced lasting erections with better orgasms. If you are looking to improve your sex life and enhance your relationships, then this is the treatment for you!
How does the P-Shot treat erectile dysfunction?
Platelet-rich plasma, or PRP, is a treatment method that has been used by doctors for many years. The growth factors in PRP encourage cellular regeneration in the penile tissues. This leads to the creation of new blood vessels (angiogenesis), resulting in the improved blood flow required for achieving and maintaining erections.
P-Shot treatments can treat poor sexual function caused by conditions associated with high cholesterol, cardiac disease, diabetes, and neurodegenerative disorders such as Parkinson’s disease and multiple sclerosis.
Do I need a P-Shot consultation?
A consultation with Dr. Erickson is necessary before a P-Shot treatment can be performed. You will go over the sexual-wellness issues you are experiencing, along with your treatment goals. The doctor will review your medical history to ensure that the P-Shot is the proper treatment for you.
What should I expect during a P-Shot treatment?
Dr. Erickson performs the P-Shot procedure, which is incredibly quick and painless. First, topical numbing cream is applied to the penis which takes about 10 minutes to feel completely numb. While you are numbing we draw your blood and let it spin in a centrifuge to separate the PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma). When ready to begin, Dr. Erickson uses a tiny needle to inject the PRP into only 4-5 areas of the penis. Most patients feel nothing and are surprised at how quickly it is over!
What is P-Shot aftercare like?
The “active ingredient” behind this treatment is platelet-rich blood plasma created with the patient’s blood, so there is virtually zero risk of an adverse reaction. Other than the rare occurrence of injection site infection, there aren’t any risks with the P-Shot. Some mild bruising and temporary swelling are normal.
Each patient will receive an electric penile pump to use after the injection takes place. It is mandatory to use this pump twice a day, 10 minutes at a time, for a total of 6 weeks after the procedure. The purpose of the pump is to exercise the tissue of the penis, while the PRP activates and begins the regeneration of new cell growth, while increasing blood flow to the skin tissue. This action is what triggers the penis to increase in size over time, with lasting results.
Are the benefits of the P-Shot permanent?
The results of the P-Shot are not permanent, but they are long-lasting. Some patients enjoy benefits for up to 18 months.
How much does the P-Shot cost?
The cost of the P-Shot treatment varies based on factors like each patient’s needs and goals. Although patients commonly report immediate improvement, the severity and contributing factors of erectile dysfunction affect each patient differently, and more than one treatment session may be needed for optimal improvement. The number of treatment sessions needed can also affect the overall price.
